How it works

Four steps, and a wait that is part of the point.

  1. 01

    You send a question

One question per letter. Write it in your own words and give the US address where the letter should arrive.

  2. 02

    You pay, or you don't

Your first question is free — one per person and household. After that each letter costs $7.

  3. 03

Joe answers, a person checks it

SlowJoe writes the answer. Before anything is printed, a human reads it over, edits where needed, and approves it.

  4. 04

    It goes in the post

The letter is printed, folded, stamped and mailed. You read it at your mailbox — the only place it exists for you.

There is no account to make, no password to forget, and no page where the answer quietly appears early. The letter is the answer.
